Circle Dinners (or Circle Suppers) are a potluck-style meal for Members and Friends from our community hosted at a member/friend’s home. Members and Friends sign up to either be a host or guest at a potluck style meal. Once everyone has signed up, hosts and guests will be matched, and a meal is planned!
These meals are generally informal, and can be anything from a sit-down over a table, to a tapas-style hors d’oeuvres night, to even a breakfast or brunch or lunch for those early risers. The Group picks the menu and the time!
Hosts generally provide the main course and their guests bring side dishes, but the real joy of the evening is found in the conversations!
We hold Circle Dinners twice a year
We generally hold Circle Dinners once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Scheduling Dinners for Fridays and Saturdays allows for more opportunities for members and friends to attend with everyone’s busy schedules.
Our next Circle Dinners will be in the Fall of 2020.
If you would like to participate in a Circle Dinner, please sign up:
- ONLINE at aluuc.org/circle-dinner (OR aluuc.org/circle-suppers),
- THE LIST circulated during Sunday services, OR
- THE CLIPBOARDS posted near the drinking fountain!
Coordinators Needed for the Fall 2020 Circle Suppers!
Coordinators would match hosts and guests and send out one set of emails to the hosts and guests soon after the signup deadline. We provide a how-to guide, along with the help of previous volunteers who can help you!
