The Humanist Group emphasizes core values such as dignity of the individual, equality, and social justice. This area involves a variety of topics including morality/ethical values, humanism as way of life, separation of church and state, science/evolution, behavioral economics and progressive politics. The Humanist Discussion Group will meet on Monday February 27 at 7 pm at ALUUC (sanctuary). Mike Haynes will show the video of and then lead discussion on physicist Lawrence Krauss' 2009 presentation, "A Universe From Nothing."

UIS Theatre's spring faculty-showcase production of Sam Shepard's TRUE WEST opens Friday, February 24th and continues Saturday, Feb 25, Sunday, Feb 26 & Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, and Saturday, March 3, 2012. All performance times are at 7:30pm, except for Sunday, Feb 26 at 2:00pm. Join the ALUUC Fellowship Committee, which is going as a group Feb. 26, at 2:00 pm.
